Configuration Files

Scroll Prev Top Next More

Whilst the Development Tools have been converted to use the Windows Registry, there are a number of configuration files that are needed by the runtime. To aid the distribution of Esl applications, these have not been converted and have been left as files, these are:

oEslConfig.ini - The main ESL configuration file, the default file can be overridden using the -f command line option.

oEslCMSrv.ini - Configuration file used to specify the mainframe Terminal Emulator package. If used, this file must be located in the Current Directory, or a directory specified by the "PATH" variable.

oEslPr.ini - Used by the local local "EslPr.ini" to specify different fonts to be used when printing a file. If used, this file must be located in a directory that is specified by the "PATH" variable, or in the Current Directory.

The configuration files used with each Local Application to define the input buffer size, have been replaced by a new option to the "start" statement.

If you currently amend the input buffer size - please see the section on New Features and Bug Fixes for Release 7.02 for more information.
